What do you hope Oklahoma State helps you accomplish?
I hope Oklahoma State helps me accomplish my goal in discovering myself and finding the kind of life I want to live. Oklahoma State is filled with endless opportunities that will push me to better myself, whether that be through friendships, education or religion. As the youngest member in my immediate family, I have been told all about the "college experience." This experience is different for everyone as I have come to learn by listening to each of my siblings and parents' OSU alumni experience. Every day a new opportunity presents itself for me to take advantage of and grow from. I am beyond excited to attend classes and learn what my passions have in store for me. Although this change is scary, I am excited for all that Oklahoma State has to offer to help me overcome and embrace my fears. I am proud to be part of the Cowboy family as I have bled orange since birth.

How has scholarship support impacted your college experience?
If it were not for my scholarship offers, I would not be able to attend college at all. Money has never been something my family has had an abundance of. I live in a single-income household with my mom and three siblings. During the school year, I work a part-time job at the school, and during the summer, I work full time through the Osage Nation’s summer youth program. Going to college and getting my education is something that I dream of accomplishing, and without scholarships, I would not be able to reach my goals and make my mom proud.

What are your future goals?
My future goal is to major in psychology and become a grief counselor. I suffered a huge loss as a child with the death of my father, and my goal is to be able to provide comfort to those who may be suffering like I was. Thank you so much for offering your financial support in my academic career. The generosity you have shown to me has not only given me the chance to achieve my goals, but also the confidence in my ability to move forward on my chosen path. I have worked very hard to be successful in high school, and having that hard work recognized means so much to me. Thank you for trusting me enough to invest in my future. How has your scholarship impacted you?
College was always a dream of mine, but I always assumed I couldn’t attend because of my family’s financial status. I tried my best in school while also having multiple jobs and playing sports. This scholarship allows me to pursue my dreams of becoming a physical therapist and helping others. It also allows me to focus on my schooling rather than working multiple jobs to get a higher education and pursue my dreams of doing better for myself.

Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
The very first time I visited Oklahoma State University, I knew I had found my place. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the people and staff made me feel right at home. My passion for agriculture and desire to major in agribusiness aligned perfectly with the support and enthusiasm of the Ferguson College of Agriculture staff and professors. Their genuine commitment to their students reassured me that I was in the right place. Oklahoma State not only offered me a sense of belonging but also instilled a renewed sense of hope and love. The welcoming atmosphere of the campus, combined with the exceptional education I knew I would receive, solidified my decision. I felt confident that, with the support and opportunities provided, walking across the stage with my diploma in hand was not just a dream but a tangible goal. I have always been a creative person, trying to think outside the box, and I have always been fascinated by art and machinery. That is why I believe that Oklahoma State can help me feed into my creativity and curiosity. I also hope that Oklahoma State can help me achieve great relationships within its community through clubs, fraternities, sports events and more. My hope is that Oklahoma State University not only provides me with a foundation of knowledge for my degree path, but also allows me to grow and develop as a person. The family-friendly environment of Oklahoma State University will help me develop relationships and friendships for a lifetime. Oklahoma State University prides itself on academic excellence, and I hope to accomplish my goals of obtaining a degree from OSU and pursuing opportunities to give back to a university that has invested in me. Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
When searching for a college, it was essential that the college I chose be a good fit in terms of finances, education, community and scheduling. Oklahoma State University had already been under consideration, but after researching other schools, I found that OSU would be the best place for me to receive my education. It has both a degree program that I know will help me pursue my career goals of being an astronomer and an amazing community that welcomes all with open arms. I’ve found myself already feeling at home at OSU.

Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
I chose Oklahoma State University because it’s like a home away from home. OSU prides itself on its family culture, which means a lot to me since I’m four hours from my hometown. Oklahoma State also has a prestigious business school. The Spears School of Business is what ultimately made me choose Oklahoma State. It helps its students meet their full potential by giving them many opportunities to work closely with faculty and have hands-on experiences. Oklahoma State also has a very good athletics department with 14 varsity sports. This allows me to work with the athletics department while still acquiring important business management skills. Oklahoma State’s sports management program is one of the few in the country that is housed within a business management department. I truly believe OSU will give me the opportunity to excel in my career after college.

I am very blessed to have the opportunity to go to my dream school and pursue my dream job. I know that attending Oklahoma State will help me grow as a person. What does scholarship support mean to you?
I have lived in the foster care system basically my entire life. I have little to no money saved for college. Scholarship support means having the freedom not to stress about what I’m going to eat or if I can pay for my tuition. It gives me peace of mind that I have support from my university.

What does scholarship support mean to you?
Scholarship support means so much to me. Scholarship support is what will allow me to attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in animal science. Scholarships will allow me to chase my dreams and turn working with animals into my profession. Scholarship support has shown me that other people believe in me and believe in what I can do in the future. It inspires me to always do my best so that I don’t let the people supporting me down.

What are your future goals?
My goal is to be a role model for my siblings. By attending college and earning a degree, I can show them how important it is to become successful. I grew up proudly wearing OSU jerseys and attending football games. Even as a kid, I recognized the feelings of ”family” and ”community.” It is only natural that I would choose Oklahoma State University for college. For me, Oklahoma State University is about opportunity and potential. This is a time of new beginnings and optimism. It signifies my commitment to impact the future. It is my opportunity to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. It’s my opportunity to gain new perspectives and explore my options for a future career. It’s my opportunity to gain new skills and challenge myself.
