The College of Arts and Sciences, often referred to as CAS, is Oklahoma State University's largest and most diverse academic college, with options in everything from Aerospace Studies to Zoology.
The College of Arts and Sciences provides students with a diverse and fulfilling academic experience. Its faculty are leaders across the range of 24 fields, representing life, physical and mathematical sciences; fine arts and humanities; social sciences; and media and strategic communications. Undergraduate research, study abroad and internships complement classroom experiences to prepare students for graduate study as well as careers in corporations, government and education. Arts and Sciences also provides university-wide advising for health professions and law.

The “Gem of the Plains”
The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts will host traveling stage productions as well as operas, orchestra and other musical student performances led by the OSU Department of Music’s acclaimed faculty. This state-of-the-art facility will become the “Gem of the Plains” bringing arts and culture to the forefront of Oklahoma State University and the surrounding community. LEARN MORE
Meet the Dean
Dean Bret Danilowicz
Bret Danilowicz is Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Zoology at OSU. He holds a BS in biology with a minor in computer science at Syracuse University’s Utica College, and he completed a Ph.D. in Zoology at Duke University. In addition to his other degrees, Dean Danilowicz holds an MA in Education from Open University and an MBA from Georgia Southern University. With a focus on the ecology of reef fishes, Danilowicz has carried out research at locations ranging from Iceland to French Polynesia. Prior to his arrival in Stillwater, Dean Danilowicz served as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Windsor, Canada, a faculty member and associate dean at University College Dublin, Ireland, as well as serving as dean of the College of Science and Technology at Georgia Southern University.
