Celebrating the Life of a Great Cowboy

Since his passing, T. Boone Pickens’ legacy of generosity has been at the forefront, with more than half a billion dollars given during his lifetime to his alma mater, Oklahoma State University. His name is etched in granite at the T. Boone Pickens School of Geology and proclaimed in letters several feet tall inside and outside the football stadium. Mr. Pickens was the ultimate Cowboy who impacted thousands during his lifetime and forever changed Oklahoma State University.

Mr. Pickens' go-getter mentality paved the way for so many others to give to OSU. Since he made his gift of $150 million, OSU has added about 200 $1 million donors, doubled their endowment and raised over $2 billion dollars. Mr. Pickens laid the ground work for so many others, because of that he has created an unmatched legacy and left an immeasurable impact on OSU.
