Centers and Facilities
OSU-CHS is on the leading edge of research and experimentation, while our students are ready to carry and advance that knowledge forward. For OSU-CHS, it is not a matter of having enough passion, dedication, determination or knowledge; it is having the right tools. Our national rankings prove we have the minds, but we need the resources.
Endowing a center or new facility is a way to provide those resources. In doing so, you are leading the charge that medical discovery is possible and that you desire to be a part of that discovery.

Center for Biomedical Research
OSU Center for Health Sciences will take a major step toward enhancing its role as a true academic health center by addressing the needs of its research scientists in a new Center for Biomedical Research. This five-floor, 125,000 square foot building is scheduled for completion in September 2010. The Tulsa Police Department Forensic Laboratory will occupy the bottom two floors of the building, while OSU-CHS will utilize the top three floors.
Already the H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Trusts have made a $500,000 pledge for equipment costs which will establish the Chapman Forensics Institute on the third floor. The fourth and fifth floors will be dedicated to the expansion of the biomedical research laboratories at OSU-CHS, which will provide laboratory and office space for up to 22 high-performing faculty members. Institutional funds are committed to construction, but another $10 million in private funding is needed to complete the project.
